Interviewing at scale

AI interviews

A Jobdrive AI interview is an automated text or voice screening where candidates answer 20 personalized questions generated from your Job Description and their resume. See how to send invites by email, WhatsApp, or link, and how to review completed interview reports.

Choosing Text or Voice

Before sending an interview invite from the Resumes tab, select the Interview Type using the dropdown in the Type column of the candidate row:

  • Text: The candidate reads each question and types their answers. Suitable for most general and technical roles.
  • Voice: The candidate reads each question and records a voice response. Ideal for roles where spoken communication is essential, such as sales, telecalling, or customer support. Available across all plans.

Set the Interview Type before delivering the invite; whichever type is selected at the time of sending determines the candidate interview experience.

Sending an invite by email

To send an interview invite via email:

  1. Navigate to the Resumes tab inside your active Job Drive.
  2. Locate the candidate and click the blue email icon in the Action column.
  3. A toast notification confirms: Invite sent to [Candidate Name] successfully!

Email invites are delivered to the candidate email address on file. Email invites are free and consume no credits.

Sending an invite by WhatsApp

To send an interview invite via WhatsApp:

  1. Navigate to the Resumes tab inside your active Job Drive.
  2. Locate the candidate and click the green WhatsApp icon in the Action column.
  3. The invite message is delivered immediately to the candidate WhatsApp number.

Each WhatsApp invite sent consumes 1 WhatsApp Credit from your available balance.

Inviting several candidates at once

To send interview invites to multiple candidates in a single action:

  1. In the Resumes tab, select the checkboxes on the left of each candidate row you want to invite.
  2. Use the bulk action toolbar options to dispatch email or WhatsApp invites to all selected candidates at once.

What the candidate experiences

The AI interview process is designed to be frictionless for candidates:

  • Candidates open their unique link on a mobile device or desktop browser. No app download or account registration is required.
  • They answer 20 questions generated dynamically from your Job Description and their own resume.
  • Candidates respond by typing text or recording audio based on the chosen Interview Type.
  • Candidates complete the interview whenever convenient for them, eliminating scheduling delays.
  • Candidates do not see evaluation ratings or AI Feedback—all scores remain strictly private to your account.

Interview statuses

Track candidate progress in real time across the platform:

Status What It Means
Invited An invite link was sent, but the candidate has not started the interview yet.
Attempted The candidate opened and started the interview but has not submitted all 20 answers.
Completed The candidate answered all 20 questions and submitted. Their report is ready to view.
Interview Completed Shown in the Resumes tab Action column for finished candidates in place of invite icons.

If no candidates have completed an interview yet, the Interviews tab displays a No Interviews Yet screen with options to Invite Candidates or View Sample Report.

Re-inviting someone

If a candidate has not completed their interview after several days or missed their original link:

  1. Find the candidate in the Resumes tab inside your active Job Drive.
  2. Click the Re-invite candidate link in the Action column of their row.

Clicking Re-invite candidate sends the invite immediately. Email re-invites are free, WhatsApp re-invites consume 1 WhatsApp Credit, and copying the link is free. Re-invites are unavailable for finished candidates or after a drive expires (see Job Drives Section 5).

Reading an interview report

Once a candidate submits all 20 answers, Jobdrive AI evaluates their responses against the Job Description (using 1 AI Evaluation Credit) and generates their Interview Report immediately:

Interviews Tab Summary View: Displays candidate Name, Email, AI Feedback summary, AI Rating (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor), Resume link, Interview Status, and Timestamp.

Full Interview Details Page: Click any candidate name in the Interviews tab to open the full report split into two panels:

  • Left Panel: Candidate details, AI Rating badge, Job Title, Job Drive name, full Job Description text, and complete written AI Feedback.
  • Right Panel: Chat-style Q&A transcript showing all 20 questions (Q1 to Q20) and candidate answers.

Downloading a report

To download a completed Interview Report as a PDF file:

  1. Open the Interviews tab inside the Job Drive.
  2. Click on the candidate name to open their Interview Details page.
  3. Click the Download report button in the top right corner.

The downloaded PDF contains Candidate Details, Job Details, AI Review, and the full 20-question transcript for easy sharing or offline archiving. Reports can be downloaded individually for each candidate (and remain accessible on expired drives per Job Drives Section 5).
